Miata Soft Top

Replacing your soft top or roof on the Miata is not a job for the faint-hearted, despite what some people may tell you. Even though there are how-to books and reference sites scattered over the internet telling you how to replace your Miata soft top, you need many specialized tools and at least a weekend to do the job.

Needless to say, I took my Miata to a professional to get it replace and it cost about $300. Look in the yellow pages for a tradesman who does car upholstery. If you live in a reasonably big North America city, there are always tradesmen about who do convertible roof replacement, especially for all the BMW and Porsche owners out there.
